About Us

Oakthorpe Community Leisure Centre is at the Heart of our Parish, built on the old site of the Mines Ambulance service the building opened in 2001 to offer the community a place to meet, socialise and play sport.

The centre was built to serve as a base for the Oakthorpe Athletic Football Club who have used the playing on site for over 40 years. Owned and run by the local Oakthorpe, Donisthorpe & Acresford Parish Council the centre boasts a fully fitted kitchen, 2 meeting rooms one of which has recently been fully refurbished. The new room has a range of IT equipment and has allowed a more personal meeting space to be created for smaller groups, the centre also has a fully fitted kitchen, Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and changing facilities for 2 teams and officials.

The centre has everything you could possibly want whether you are a local interest group, sports team or just want a get together, with a host of party packages coming soon the centre has all bases covered.
